Eleanor May Blackburn

Eleanor May Blackburn is a writer/actor/theatre-maker from Sheffield. She writes about mental health, disability, misogyny and sex politics mostly. You can find her guzzling tea at the Crucible or wearing white eyeliner at a local open mic.
100ish: Eleanor is a neurodivergent, working class, disabled, queer actor/writer/theatre-maker/poet from Sheffield. She had her first Chapbook Ghost and Found published by Cerasus Poetry in 2021 and her first full collection is set to be released in 2025 by Stairwell Books. Eleanor is a playwright for the Sheffield Theatres 2023 Bank Cohort and has written, produced and performed 2 autobiographical solo shows: Subdural Hematoma and Does My Fanny Look Big in This? She is a regular at poetry open mics in the north and recently co-produced 2 of her own scratch nights whilst publishing a zine as a way to connect creatives (particularly women and non-binary people). Mostly you can find her eating gluten free pasta (cooked in the right way obviously, otherwise it is truly awful) and listening to Laura Marling whilst crying her little heart out (the pasta needs the salt anyway, don't worry too much.)
