Jill Sharp grew up climbing trees and building dens in the New Forest. She studied at Keele and London universities, and has taught excluded young people in PRUs, and adults at the Open University. She's been assistant editor on a children's magazine and her poetry has won prizes and appeared widely in print and online. Her book Written in Stone was published by English Heritage.
