Richard Cave

A life's story should be written by the heart and not the head; actions performed on a whim excite more than those executed to a plan. In between the boring but necessary bits, my life's story sees me working on a German pig farm, taking the midnight bus across Turkey, falling in love, sitting atop mountains, dining in Mehanas, walking a Norfolk beach with more seals than people, watching from street cafes as thousands of lives go by. My poems too are written from the heart, but that heart can be fragile: many of these poems reflect that fragility.
