The Suitcase of Secrets is Julie Fearn’s first novel. Julie was born to Polish and Irish immigrant parents in West Yorkshire and jokes she is ‘Poirish’.

Her novel is loosely based on her father’s experiences after WW2 and tells the story of how he rebuilt his life. The experience of so many displaced people after the war.

She lives in the historic city of York, with her partner Robert and dog Poppy, and is immensely proud of her heritage, family, and late parents.
