Wendy Rayne-Davis

Wendy has been a researcher and did much of the research for this book. She was educated at London University and after careers at Unilever and Pritchard Wood she became Managing Director of Davis Ives Associates Ltd. She has worked all over Europe and the United States.

Wendy finds that researching a book is very similar to her work in the commercial field. She has already written a joint book with John in 2014, on Robert Aske, leader of the Pilgrimage of Grace. She helped John with the research on the Martyrdoms at Clifford’s Tower. She also proof-read all of John’s past books and suggested changes which he has followed. She enjoys working in this field.

She was President of the Copmanthorpe Women’s Institute for 8 years and had built a brand new hall for the WI. The previous hall had stood from 1922 and was in a terrible state. Wendy is a very keen gardener and attends many gardening events and is a member of a local gardening club. She is an expert floral arranger and does the flowers for her Church.

She and John have been married for 48 years and have two grown children, Charles and Claire, and two grandsons, Joseph and Lucas, who live in Queensland, Australia.
